Emilie McDonald is from New Jersey however she was raised in Georgia. She attended Valdosta State University after high school and transferred to Kennesaw State University where she graduated cum laude with a BBA. Emilie began working in the recovery industry four years ago as a residential technician doing night checks and weekends. She then progressed to the clinical side doing drug screens and clinical documentation. Today – Emilie is a Certified Addiction Counselor and the Director of Operations.
Emilie is deeply passionate about helping others overcome their struggle with addiction as she is a person in long-term recovery as well. Given her past, she can identify and relate to the clients on a more personal level since she has the perspective from both points of view.
When Emilie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her little girl and her husband. She also has three Labrador Retrievers and a cat. When she is not busy with family or her animals, she enjoys spending time with friends, hiking different trails in the area, and volunteering.
